Ingredients

  • 150 g sirloin steak

  • 50 g flour

  • 1 egg (beaten)

  • 100 g panko (japanese breadcrumbs)

  • 40g cabbage (shredded thinly)

  • 2 cherry tomatoes (halved)

  • 1 lemon wedge

  • 20 g mayonnaise

  • 20 g tonkatsu sauceĀ 
    (to make tonkatsu sauce: stir ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, and garlic together in a bowl. Let it sit for at least 30mins before serving.)

  • salt & pepper to taste

  • 120 ml oil (for frying)

A delicious dish consisting of crispy fried cutlet of beef coated in crunchy breading to seal in the great flavour.

Instructions

  1. Season and coat the beef

    • Add salt and pepper to season the steak on both sides.

    • Dredge the steak in flour, shake off excess.

    • Dip it in the beaten egg. Then coat it with the Panko breadcrumbs

  2. Fry the beef

    • In a pan, heat up oil in med heat and fry each side for 40-45 seconds.

    • Remove from pan and let the beef rest for 5 minutes.
