800 g beef (rump), cubed (substitute with buffalo/fish/chicken meat or oxtail if you can find it)
50 g ginger (smashed)
200 g yellow onions (cut in quarters)
100 g crushed peanuts
1 tbsp turmeric powder (can be swapped for ginger)
1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
1 L water
salt (to taste)
2 chili padi (bird’s eye chili) - If you can’t take spicy food, you may omit the chili padi in this dish
Serve hot with additional crushed peanuts on the side. Best enjoyed with white rice or even baked, mashed or boiled potatoes!
