Es Cincau Susu Gula Merah is a pleasantly simple take on the classic iced grass jelly. With no added fruits, the earthy flavors of the grass jelly is perfectly complemented with the sweet brown sugar and fragrant pandan. Adding milk gives the drink a creamier and thicker texture as well. This refreshing drink is best enjoyed icy cold on a hot afternoon.

Directions

  1. Assemble

    • In a saucepan, add brown sugar, water and pandan leaf. Over medium heat, bring it to a boil until the sugar dissolves, remove and set aside.

    • With a grater, grate the grass jelly lengthwise and set aside.

    Assemble


Serve

In a glass, add ice cubes, brown sugar, milk, grass jelly, palm sugar and serve.
