  • 1 sprig spring onion, sliced thinly 

  • 2 tbsp pre-made satay sauce 

  • 2 tbsp crispy shallots 

  • 2 pcs cheddar cheese slices 

  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

     

  • chicken sausage patty:

    130 g minced chicken 

  • 1 tsp garlic powder 

  • ½ tsp onion powder 

  • 1 tsp black pepper 

  • ½ tsp dry thyme 

  • 1 tbsp bread crumbs 

  • salt (to taste)

  • 2 tbsp oil

If you love satay sauce and McGriddles, you know where we’re going with this pair. Now, the familiar doughy breakfast burger is given a Southeast Asian edge, with a spoon of creamy, peanutty satay sauce and crisp sweet shallots all tucked into the savoury inside of an egg and sausage patty.

Instructions

  1. Make the Griddled Pancake Buns

  2. Make the Chicken Sausage Patty

    • In a bowl, add minced chicken and mix all ingredients well.
    • Using your hands, scoop a little chicken mixture and roll it to form a ball.
    • Press it gently to form patties. Set aside.
    • Heat up a pan over medium heat. Add cooking oil.
    • Add chicken patty and leave to cook before flipping it over.
    • Once cooked, removed it to a plate lined with paper towel.

  3. Assemble the burger

    • Place one griddled pancake bun on a plate
    • Add a slice of cheese, chicken sausage patty, fried egg, 1 tbsp satay sauce, spring onion and 1 tbsp crispy shallots.
    • Place the other griddled pancake bun on top


Plate and Serve!

Place cheddar cheese slices only when ready to eat, or it will melt with the warm chicken patties.
