  • Serves 4 people
  • 2 packets egg tofu – cut into 4 pieces/packet

  • ½ stalk spring onion - chopped

  • 2 dried Chinese mushrooms - soaked & chopped

  • 100 g pork - minced

  • 6 tiger prawns – deshelled & chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic - chopped

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

  • ½ tsp white pepper

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Tofu with Minced Meat and Prawns

A simple, hearty and healthy dish of fresh tofu generously topped with minced meat and mushrooms.

Instructions

  1. Cook toppings

    • In a pan on medium heat, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil and fry garlic until fragrant. 
    • Add the pork and mushrooms and stir-fry with the garlic, then add the prawns.
    • Continue to stir-fry the meat toppings until it stops clumping together.
    • Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp fish sauce and ½ tsp white pepper to the pan & continue to stir-fry for 1 more minute
    • Remove from heat and set aside in a bowl.
    Cook toppings


  2. Place tofu on a plate and steam it for 2 minutes



  3. Add the meat topping to the tofu, and leave it in the steamer for another 1 minute.

Garnish and Serve!

Garnish the dish with 1tsp of spring onions and serve hot
