1 chicken (about 0.7 kg-1 kg), cleaned with giblets and fats removed, pat dry
1/4 cup glutinous rice (wash and soak for 1 hr)
1 ginseng root washed
2 large dried jujubes (red dates)
8 garlic cloves (washed and peeled)
2 to 3 spring onions (chopped)

black pepper
1.5 L water
Sesame dipping sauce:
1 - 2 tsp salt
1 tsp sesame seeds
a pinch of ground black pepper
2 tbsp sesame oil
To serve in earthen ware pot, add a scoop of soup, then preheat the pot. Carefully ladle in the chicken and add more soup. Sprinkle some spring onion and eat with the sesame dipping sauce
